The Perfect Place

When my eyes are drenched with tears

My heart engulfed with fear

I look for that peaceful place

Daily I go to those who say there power is from above

Whose careless heavenly words bring me down?

After needless rebukes, I wonder if this is what true friends are all about

My heart filled up with rage for their fancy words they gave

They called you friend but talked about you in secret

What kind of place is it?

I’m told to change now or seek eternal hell

How can I change when doing I do is good enough

I’m a rebel as far as they can tell

With there negative views my heart fell

With fallen hope, search for acceptance

Slowly I found a new crowd, opposite to the legalistic type

Who made everything a big hype?

I’m spending my day and energy looking for a friend

Who will tell me all the words I’ve lacked to hear

Such as I care and I’m there for you

So far I haven’t found that dream

But when I do it will be that perfect place
