Restoration

During my wondering adolescent years

Where I encountered new fears

Shedding many private tears

Your comfort was always near

When I did not know where

Your mercy was here

Through all of life’s trials

My heart was emptied for miles

My soul cried out into space

You showed your saving grace

Through every test, I can learn the best

Where I can learn to turn the page

I stand here openly amazed

That no matter what age

Your gift of grace will never fade

Nor will your gift of Love degrade

I thank you for this undeserved salvation

Through daily self-examination

May my soul receive restoration?
