Impossible

When you die to be born into heaven,

What will happen to those left behind?

Will there be enough words to voice a thought?

Enough strength to lift a page, to see the next chapter in life

Will there be enough clarity to see the words in God’s plan?

Will there be enough songs to sing or enough hands to pray?

I feel the fight you are fighting; I am crying the same tears you are crying,

The same shortage of words, the deepness of emotion has me swimming too

Thinking about the good times, after all those sermons spoken,

Thinking about how Grandpa prayed and talked about the good old days,

How he always gave the best inspiration,

The brilliance of God’s work was at its best.

In all my years I haven’t seen him cry,

But the day my Grandpa died, I realized:

The unbreakable, breaks, the unburnable, burns, the unsinkable ship, sinks.

The things you think that will never happen, happen.

When you think positive out of pain is unattainable,

When you think that the hurt is unstoppable,

Learn never to underestimate the impossible

Don’t ever think that it’s over, never give up on what you believe

If you have faith, it’s hopelessness that you’ll never see

For what you think is impossible for God it is possible

When you think hope passed you over

In the midst of the pain, remember:

The unbreakable, breaks, the unburnable, burns, the unsinkable ship, sinks.

The things you think that will never happen, happen.

When you think positive out of pain is unattainable,

When you think that the hurt is unstoppable,

Learn never to underestimate the impossible.

But when the unexpected happens, I’ll back you up when you need support.

I’m there to say goodbye to your bad day

I’ll be the hands to your emotional prayers, you can have my eyes for clarity,

Anything, but remember with God nothing is impossible
