When the world gets you down and down

I will always be around

High and low, this is how life goes

Pain and fear, looking for someone to lend an ear

I will always try to be near

I was crushed and beaten, my heart bruised and sore

Without a friend, I took it all in

As time passed bye and bye, people drained me dry

Slowly life has changed, people still rude

My friends although few, are always cherished

I understand their pain since I experienced it too

Starting today and tomorrow renewed

I will be loyal and true, so please be there for me too
