Born Desire

Our first moments in this world start with a cry

Along with the first breath this desire is born

We deceive ourselves, as we perceive false needs

As we grow and our hearts are torn

After a busy day, our souls feel so dry

The more we attain, the harder the mask is to maintain

We never have to learn to hate, cry or hurt

However, our lifetime is spent to find a love, emotion or experience to fill our born desire

You see a homeless man begging for some food

A millionaire trying to find the perfect deal

The seeker searching for some truth

Angry son slamming the door to his family

The teenage mom fearing her future

All have a hidden desire to be filled

As the stress takes its toll

We feel the void in our soul

The hole can be healed

Surrendering yourself as you kneel

The hole cannot be fulfilled with the passions of this world

Look to the heavens for your cure

Allow the creator of love to fill the desire for you
