White Ribbon Day

If our family’s follow God and God is love
When parents leave and children lose sight of their hope
Is there really peace? Is God really just?
That’s why I stand for white ribbon day

When mothers die and children cry out for hope
A father raises his only son alone
Why is there pain? Is God really love?
That’s why I stand for pink ribbon day

If God wants children to come to him, why do they come alone?
Aids leave whole countries in ruins
When will joy fill their hearts? Can God save our world now?
That’s why I stand for red ribbon day

This world seeks lasting peace; fear is among the world’s streets
We see constant war and bloody fields to protect ourselves.
Does war bring peace? Is there another way?
That’s why I stand for yellow ribbon day.

A father gave his only son, blood flows from a cross
He came so we could be saved, died for peace
You give us courage, you lived the other way
Dying first so we could live out white ribbon day
