Snowstorm

Late on a weekend night

The couple resumes their all too frequent fight

As the yelling grows out of control

An emotional snowstorm batter the already torn home

Once again love goes cold

She walks out and drives quickly away

He lies on the floor crying for peace

She can’t stand being around him.

He’s left with an empty loveless house tonight

The next day they both walk out to the world same old front,

Love has again captured the same old stale role.

The kids look and see the upcoming storm

What can you do when your role models are torn?

They separate to find better personal happiness

Yet still the snow will fall, hidden family tensions tear the existing hold

Why trust in love, when in the end, love just goes cold?
