When I ignored your reveled truth

Water started to leak through my spiritual roof

 

The world challenged and won the duel

Harsh emotions depleted the fuel

 

I desire to feel spiritually full

A visible icon of strength as a flag on a pole

 

A symbol of Christ for all in sight

I want to worship you with all my might

 

Offering you my hatred and strife

You give me back your only son’s life

 

Recently I learned how to feel an uplifting toss

I embrace the love you showed on the cross

 

When I sing praises unto you

I must forget about the common worldly view

 

I ignore everything about me

For it was you who gave me everything I see

 

I’m tired of giving you the tease
